Launch of the Second Cycle of the Continuing Professional Education Program “UAV Data Collection and Processing”
The second cycle of the continuing professional education program “UAV Data Collection and Processing” officially began today, November 6. The program is attended by personnel from public and private organizations.
The training is organized by the Lifelong Learning Center of the Cyprus University of Technology, in collaboration with the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
The program instructors are Dr. Dimitrios Skarlatos (Professor), Dr. Apostolos Papakonstantinou (Assistant Professor), and Dr. Athos Agapiou (Assistant Professor).
This 50-hour training course combines theoretical instruction with hands-on experience — including outdoor drone flights — aiming to develop participants’ skills in using UAVs for the collection, analysis, and management of environmental and geospatial data for professional applications.
The sessions will conclude on December 3 and focus on key topics relevant to participants’ professional fields.
The program is supported by the CONNECTING Project.
