We are pleased to announce the CONNECTING Final Workshop, organised within the framework of the Digital Heritage Summit 2026 / EuroMed 2026, a major European event dedicated to digital cultural heritage research, innovation, and policy. Held under the auspices of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Summit brings together international experts, institutions, and technology leaders shaping the future of heritage digitisation.

The workshop will showcase outcomes of the CONNECTING project and present advanced infrastructures and technologies supporting engineering applications in cultural heritage, including:

• LiDAR and UAV applications
• Underwater documentation through ROV systems
• 3D terrestrial cloud acquisition and processing
• Cloud data infrastructure implementation
• Reuse of digital 3D heritage assets
• Demonstration of CONNECTING equipment
• Discussion on future collaborations and research opportunities

The CONNECTING Final Workshop contributes to broader discussions taking place during the Digital Heritage Summit 2026, covering AI for heritage, digital twins, XR technologies, 3D data reuse, digitisation strategies, and climate resilience for cultural heritage.
